Gone are the days of needing to buy expensive greeting cards for Dad. This Father’s Day, why not send a free e-card? There are many free sites offering Father’s Day E-cards, so be sure to check out the ones reviewed below.

Don’t pains about sending a card that seems impersonal. Most places have a spot where you can add a comment to your recipient, tailoring it just to suit them. Sending an online greeting card is rapid, saves money, and is friendly for the environment all at the same time!

Hallmark : Hallmark.com is my favorite site for sending e-cards. They have many classic Father’s Day e-cards, as well as some where you can insert a digital photograph of yourself in the card. Or if sending a laughable card is more your style, Hallmark has cards for you.

Do you want to send an online card now before you forget? Hallmark makes it easy to fill out the required information to send a card to your loved one and request that it be sent any day in the future. Send it now and tell the site to send it on Father’s Day. And even more exciting is that there is a feature where you can find out if/when Dad has viewed your card. Hallmark will even email you to enlighten you that your card has been sent. No more wondering if a regular card has made it through the postal system in time!

Egreetings : has Animated and flash Father’s Day free e-cards. Several designs are available, including cards for the man who may not be related to you but is still very special. Personalizing your card is easy and fun as you select lots of little extras like adding music or a poem to your card.

Funpunch : Online postcards are unbiased as fun to send and offer the same options as regular e-cards. Funpunch.com allows you to add a personal greeting to your online postcard by selecting different color/style fonts and cute emoticons.

Care2.com : Sending e-cards eliminates the need for paper cards, which helps the environment. But did you also know that there is a site that donates to charity organizations each time you send a card? For every card sent, www.care2.com makes a donation to an environmental nonprofit to save a square foot of rainforest.

123greetings.com : has dozens of cards to convey any message on Father’s Day. They have the largest selection of free e-cards that I have found.

funny-ecards.com : Looking for strictly funny cards? If so, www.funny-ecards.com is for you. This site has many different e-cards to send Dad or the special man in your life for Father’s Day.

I love sending and receiving e-cards. They’re so easy to send and very convenient too. I often send cards to people hundreds of miles away, and sending an e-card guarantees that the card will reach on time. Usually when I send cards to my parents, I need to allow at least three days for the cards to arrive. It gets complicated to time this when a holiday falls in the middle of my timeframe.

Receiving e-cards is always a treat to examine who thought about me on my special day. I am concerned about so many things in the environment, and sending an e-card is not only eco-friendly but also means that I won’t feel guilty tossing a paper card in the recycling bid once my special day is over. Clutter-free, environment-friendly, mercurial, convenient, and special rolled into one. My kind of card.

I’m ten years behind the trend and still on a MySpace learning curve. The one thing I have learned right away is that you have to keep your page updated and attractive to get your friends to visit frequently. That sounds easy, but finding MySpace codes, layouts, and backgrounds to suit your taste and personality can be a challenge.

I spent all day one day searching for Christian graphics. There are a lot of web pages that offer Christian graphics, but compared to other exciting MySpace graphics some of them are too tame, or lame, at least for me. I’m still working on my Christian MySpace layout, part of that is because I scarcely know what I’m doing.

The other problem is that I ran upon several websites that repeated the same Christian MySpace layouts.

I decided I would have to fabricate a venture building my maintain, but in the meantime I will portion what I found. Perhaps you will find Christian MySpace graphics that are more suited to you.

The easiest thing to do when adding graphics to your MySpace page is to add a complete layout. Then the contact, blurbs, blogs, and interests sections will all match your Christian background theme.

The first site I would check is C28 Street Team. They offer a varied selection of contemporary Christian MySpace layouts. Their pages are easy to navigate and the layout codes are printed clearly below each layout. This prevents the searching for codes that you may rush in to on other sites.

I immediately found a Christian MySpace layout I liked on Pyzam. I would have called this my favorite site even though it had objective a few Christian layouts. It has a great “Easter” layout entitled “He is Risen.” I thought it would be a enormous MySpace layout for any time of year to proclaim the Christian message.

Unfortunately, I got aggravated working with this position. Apparently is uses a programming language known as CSS which is not completely compatible with MySpace’s html format. MySpace says you can use CSS, but also offers a warning that your page may not show up the way you are looking for.

Maybe a Christian MySpace from Pyzam will work for you, but I go so annoyed I finally gave it up. I couldn’t get it to work.

An interesting site I ran across was Christian MySpace Layouts. They had interesting layouts with artsy looks, but once again nothing that met the sight and feel I was seeking. I recommend you check them out. Look over everything before you make a decision.

Space Faith is a paltry residence with very few Christian MySpace graphics. You will have to weed through the advertising to even bag a couple of cheesy layouts. Perhaps this situation will grow in the future, but if you are looking for a Christian MySpace layout it isn’t worth your time, factual now.

Wish a Friend lures you in with what promises to be Christian layouts, sparkling graphics, and cool gadgets for your MySpace page. Wish a Friend is a area which leads you to a download of Webfetti and Smiley Central, both of which I equate with spyware. They also slow down your computer more than you can imagine unless you have experienced it for yourself.

Before you can even get to Christian MySpace layouts you have to skip through a bunch of pointless advertisements. I recommend avoiding this website in your search for unusual layouts, messages, and graphics.

If you like one of the few Christian MySpace layouts on True Light Christian Store you will have found a worship among another butt-load of advertising. If you decide to visit this site in your continuing search to improve your MySpace don’t get your hopes up.

My Space Layout Support had a variety of downloads and gadgets including Christian layouts. Their site offers a nice selection of Christian layouts. It is easy to navigate the site and downloading codes and uploading them to your MySpace is easy. My problem with this site is that most of the layouts are dark.

Actually, that was my problem with most of these sites, with a few exceptions that had vibrant designs for which I didn’t care. The dark look and feel looked too much like secular sites to me. I was looking for something to establish MySpace as distinctively Christian.

I’ll continue looking. Maybe you will have better luck with the sites listed above.

Will Barack Obama get the unlit vote? This is a question still unanswered. Many African Americans are torn between Hillary and Barack. Having an African American president is appealing, but so is having bill Clinton befriend in office again… we sort of. Blacks are not torn between the qualifications of the two; they are torn between who will get the most votes.

Can Obama really get white votes? Is America really ready for a murky president? I think not. We have come a long way in this country, but we are not as advanced as we like to give ourselves credit for. Racism is still rapid, especially in terms of power. I cannot see white America voting for a black man. It is sad, but factual. I could always be wrong though. Perhaps my thoughts have no validity to them.

I am not saying Barack doesn’t have a chance. I am simply saying he is going to have to work harder to prove himself. His characterize will not be enough. His experience will not be enough. He is going to have to effectively show the changes he will bring to the white house. He will have to display a concise thought for issues like health care, social security, and terrorism.

Barack’s name may also play a role in his run for presidency. Some voters may consider it to ethnic. There have been many occasions when individuals mistakenly say Osama, as oppose to Barack Obama. Obama is not the only second runner up who has obstacles to overcome. Mitt Romney has some hurdles to jump over himself.

Conservative Mitt Romney has recently been blasted for hiring illegal immigrants on his Boston estate. Illegal immigration is set to be a main issue in the 2008 election and this could definitely harm him in the future. Here he is, with his strong stances against illegal immigration, yet Mexicans are landscaping his grounds. The American public should evaluate several different things before rushing to judge Mitt Romney.

In an effort to lessen the criticism by the media, Romney fires the landscape company, and blasts them for hiring illegal immigrants. IS this justified? What basis does he have to blast them? Companies are not supposed to hire illegals, however should Romney know better? Is e really that naïve? Illegal immigrants take obscene paying jobs in major cities all across this nation.

Wealthy Americans like Romney hire illegal immigrants all of the time, and it should be exposed. This is nothing new. The American Public should not be shocked. Romney should not make a big deal about immigration if he has done things in the past that conflict with his current beliefs.

Sometimes we just net in a mood and personally, I like to be able to express it every now and again on my MySpace page. It’s not that I’m insulting other people, but then again, maybe I am. One never knows and I guess that’s how some people get in trouble on MySpace. However, since I have been in one of those moods and have now redone my page to reflect some of my feelings, I thought I would share some ways to go to do your page up in some obnoxious and hilarious styles that will surely make your real friends smile since they will know it’s all in fun and not personal.

For starters, what I would do is check out hotprofileplus and this link will take you right to some fabulous layouts to open your descent into obnoxiousness. Some of my current ones here would be “I don’t need your attitude, I have enough of my own” and that also has a silouhette of a woman with lightning effects around her and in the background. There’s several other choices here, but not all are actually put downs. There are some references to “haters” among others, so have fun and fair check them all out until you collect one that suits you. You could also try the link here to find some humrous ones such as “I see dumb people.” I’m sure that would fit for a lot of us because I know for a fact that I see dumb people everyday.

Once you have a layout you can now proceed on to getting comments and more to decorate. Pyzam has a great choice of comments in their insult section. Some of these comments are straight to the point and maybe a little too rude. One of the best ones I saw on here was “You are validating my inherent mistrust of strangers.” Those are the kind of comments I like to find objective to get a smile and hopefully at the very least a dinky chuckle out of my friends.

Wishafriend also has quite a few choices. Check out their link and then you can also type “insults” into their search box at the upper right corner of the page and then it will list links on their page where you can find other insult comments. Just beget sure when you search that you have the box checked for wishafriend only.

Hostdrjack has some of the better ones and I used quite a few of them on my page. One example is, “Don’t worry, I forgot your name too.” I love that and was very tempted to use that one since most of my friends seem to have forgotten I even existed on MySpace. I’m still working on it, but if that’s not enough them check out myprofilepimp for comments such as “STFU” and “I’m sorry, I forgot you were an idiot” and of course many ways to say “You suck.” Also on that status, check this link out here for some immense comments with attitude. How about a “Don’t disapprove me because you ain’t me” comment or even objective a good old fashioned middle finger. I think you can find quite a few of those here along with attitude comments about yourself and just how hot and sexy you think you are. Retain in mind though, you will probably get some comments from your friends that you may not like if you go overboard in the conceited department.

If you’re looking for some very sharp and acidic comments, then you should definitely check out mynicespace though there is nothing nice about their insults. These are some of the meanest and evil attitudes and insults I’ve found and I just love them. Unfortunately I cannot give you any examples of what you’ll find here because there really isn’t a way to natty them up so you’re unprejudiced going to have to look for yourself.

Don’t forget you can also get other things such as icons at myspaceacademy and they also have comments you can win here.

Whichever contrivance you go, this can turn out to be quite an amuzing page for your friends to peer at. Then again, if you don’t have that many friends, then you may be able to crack yourself up. I know MySpace page is pretty darn funny and I’ve no one else likes it, then they can leave, and no, that is not sarchasm.

Today I received the Oral-B Professional Care SmartSeries 5000 Tooth Brush to review. For the next week I will experience what it means to use a tooth brush that retails for $159 (now $120) . For that brand I am expecting something close to nirvana for my mouth. I can’t wait to begin.

The OOB Experience

There are two important parts – the handle and the wireless SmartGuide. The handle comes in a hard blue case for travel. There is a charger and some brush heads. Mine came with two heads but apparently there are other brush heads that can be purchased separately. There were two batteries loose in the box and a yellow piece of something. Reading the first page of the instructions I couldn’t figure out what it is. The handle is attractive and felt well balanced in my hand. When I plugged it into the charger, I couldn’t figure out if it was working or not. I had to search further into the instructions to learn that there was an indicator on the front of the handle, which might not answer for 15 minutes. When I checked befriend it was working but hard to read. It was very murky and I had to actually pick up the unit while it was charging to read it. The SmartGuide was much harder to set up. There was a cover on it which I had trouble removing because I opinion it was the succor for the batteries and needed to slide off. After fighting with it for 15 minutes and almost giving up it impartial came off and I realized it was the attachment for the wall. The yellow thing was a fraction of double faced tape to effect to it. When I opened the battery compartment there were two batteries already inside – apparently totally dead. I replaced them easily with the extras included and the unit automatically turned on. On the back are two extremely diminutive buttons to set the timer. I had to press with my finger nail, which kept slipping off as I tried to see the image on the front. There was no reason I could see that these buttons needed to be so small or in the back of the unit. I was frustrated and annoyed by the time I got the brush and the timer set up.

DAY 1

Because of the lighting in my bathroom I had trouble reading the SmartGuide so I had to move it around a lot. I have not yet attached it to the wall. When I took the brushes out of the package they were not marked, so in the future I won’t know which brush is which. But today I dilapidated the Pro White brush. Once you press the button the unit goes by itself, stopping every 30 seconds to remind you to move to the next quadrant. The SmartGuide also shows that. At the ruin of a puny I got a smiley face and at the end of 2 minutes I got a wink. I brushed for an additional minute to peep what would happen, but I guess a wink is as sterling as it gets. The brush fit comfortably in my hand, and cleaned nicely and was gentle on my gums.

DAY 2

I used the same head today and again found it to be very gentle on my gums. I’m diabetic and my gums bleed easily and most electric toothbrushes irritate my gums a lot. So this is very nice. My teeth feel very clean, but I have been using a manual tooth brush and clearly an electric works better. After 30 seconds the brush hesitates letting you know you need to move to the next quadrant. The SmartGuide shows you that too. So I closed my eyes to behold if the hesitation would be sufficient to move me on and it was. I’m wishing I had the other heads to test.

DAY 3

Ok I know the tooth brush cleans well, but this SmartGuide is truly a waste. Here are the suggestions I now have for some changes to the tooth brush and the SmartGuide.

The disagreement needs to be changed to make both the brush and the SmartGuide easier to read.

The 30 second hesitation needs to be more defined or even turned into a beep.

I really don’t need a Wi-Fi to tell me when to change my quadrants. It would have been far more valuable if it told me which teeth I had actually missed or didn’t spend enough time on.

If the holder has a location for 4 heads, at this price there should have been four heads included. Or since those are special heads which would not be right for everyone, then two sets of brushes should be included so two people could use the brush.

DAY 4

I really like the toothbrush. The plaque is definitely going away and my teeth feel very clean. The SmartGuide is not gaining my favor.

DAY 5

I didn’t even look at the SmartGuide.

DAY 6

Apparently up to now I’ve been using the wrong head with the wrong setting. So today I set aside the Floss Action head in and used the everyday deep cleaning setting. Maybe I’m just used to the Whitening brush, but I like it better. It seems gentler. At this point about 90 percent of the plaque around my teeth seems to be gone.

DAY 7

Today I used all of the brushing modes which are supposed to address varying oral care needs. Icons appear on the SmartGuide to show you the different modes. As with the rest of the display, the icons are hard to stare and are only pictures with no words. They are good displays of what they do, but I would still like to have words under the icon.

So, whats the verdict?

I have traditional the Oral-B for one week every day. My teeth feel clean and look great. My gums feel healthy and are not sore. Toothbrushes are supposed to get your teeth and gums clean and keep them healthy. This toothbrush does that very well. I intend to keep using it.

The SmartGuide is another thing entirely. From the frustration I experienced when getting it out of the box, to the problems seeing the display in my bathroom light, to the really limited info it gives, I have found no redeeming features of this addition. Sure, it’s kind of cute to have a WiFi’d tooth brush. But that’s where it ended for me. If you want this to have any value at all, fix the display and have it show which teeth have been missed while brushing. Moms would like that and kids will reflect the Wi-Fi is cool. The tooth brush heads and the icons need to be labeled. As a psychotherapist I have to remember things for a living, but there is no way I will ever remember which head is which, or what those icons do. Even with those fixes I still would not use the SmartGuide.

Love the tooth brush – detest the SmartGuide!

It’s summertime and the heat has been turned up so let’s get our profile pages ready for the summer heat by decorating them with great layouts and more. Here are a few great sites to get some summer fun for your Friendster profile so you’re not just another boring page. I have supplied links to each site for easier access. I mediate having a great beach or ocean scene as a background is a great idea and then decorate your page with some palm tree graphics.

Freecodesource.com is a helpful place to launch for your summer layouts. There is a great selection here and it’s easy to navigate around this site. There are ten very colorful and fun layouts for your Friendster profile and the Summer Style is one of my favorites because it’s bright and sunny, like summer. After you’ve picked out your layout, proceed down the page and check out the Summer Time graphics. Here you will find all sorts of spicy graphics representing summer, such as lobsters, suns, palm trees and even lemonade stands. Just click on the graphics you want and copy the Friendster code to paste in your profile. It couldn’t get any easier than this.

Myspacetotal.com is another really cool space to get some layouts at if you know what to do. Once you scroll through the pages and choose the layout you want then click on that one. A page will open up and should look like a MySpace page. When you go to the top of the page you will see an option for Friendster and once you click that the page will resemble a Friendster profile. You can then change your page set up such as the placement of your boxes, text size and style and much more. Once you’re done click on the Update Profile button, enter your name and it will give you the code to paste in your Friendster profile.

Myflyprofile.net also has a great selection of scenery layouts. After you click on the link at the beginning here it will take you to the beginning of the scenery layouts. There are so many here to decide from and they have some excellent summer themed layouts. In case you’re looking for a serene beach scene or something similar, then this is the right set. Unprejudiced follow the same instructions as laid out above as it works the same way.

Layoutsduh.com offers a great selection of summer graphics for your Friendster profile. Here you will find animations, icons, posters, summer quotes and much much more. This is a very easy region to expend and all you have to do is click on the picture you want and resolve the Friendster button to get the correct code.

Pyzam.com is a good site for more layouts. The beach scenes are awesome and again these are easy to exercise. Once you click on the layout you want, the link should have you true at the Friendster pages, so just follow the instructions below the picture as the codes for Friendster and how to use them should be right there. If for some reason it isn’t, then just click on the smiley face underneath and to the right of the relate to get the Friendster codes and instructions. If you’re looking for something more specific, once you click the link, just above the layout pictures, you will have the different topics listed and how many pictures are available in each. Also don’t forget to check out the graphics here as they have a great choice.

Text messaging is everywhere. Everyone who has a cell phone can usually use text messaging instead of the faded beeper to send a message. Whhile text messaging is convenient, there are certain rules to remember before you press the “send” in your keypad.

1. Remember that most people are new to text messaging. Do not assume that they know what you mean when you say “y” instead of yes. Do not use “C u latr” when the other person is not a whiz-texter. A polite texter uses straight English for the reciever to understand.

2. Do not text anyone for for the sake of texting. If you have nothing to say, refrain yourself from sending ‘nonsensical” messages like “I m ok” or “D day is fine, d sun is up”. Remember that the reciever may not even care if you are okay today or if the day looks obliging.

3. Answer lawful away if you can to text messages. If you get a message that asked ” Will u b @ home 2nite? ” it is polite to say either yes or no – or account for furthur with a text message,

4. Never propose through a text message or say “I luv u” using SMS. People still prefer to be told in person and in a more romantic setting that they are loved or that you want to marry her.

5. Never send smileys and NOTHINg more. If you are to send a picture message or a smiley, at least develop the other person know why you’re sending him/her the message.

6. While it is okay to apologize using a text message make sure that you follow it up with a voice call or better still, go to the person and tell him/her you are sorry. You can start by saying “Did you get mt text message…? “

7. Never answer stray messages. Talking to a complete stranger is not exactly a wise idea. The idea of having “:textmates” is great as long as you KNOW them. Do not give out pesonal information vis text messaging.

8. Before using the text linggo, be aware of the reciever’s personality. It would be unappropriate to send your boss the text message. ” i m @ walmart”. Utilize “valid” English.

9. Be a edifying texter. Never use text messaging to vent your anger towards the reciever. That is impolite and downright uncouth.

10. Do not forward someone’s personal text to you to another. That is called gossiping! Remember that a text message to you is a personal message sent to you because the sender trusts you.

Or metal buttons you can get at the dollar store. Also you’ll need hodge podge, a small paintbrush, and scissors. You’ll need four magnets and four emoticon images. After you allow your hodge podge buttons to dry, it’s time to attach the magnets. Use the hot glue gun and tack the magnet with some glue. Stick it on the back of the button.

You’ll need a mini laminating machine. Lastly you’ll need self adhesive magnets. Speed your cut outs through the laminating machine.

On June 23, 2005, The Fresh England Journal of Medicine published findings of a new study regarding sudden death after a heart attack. Dr. Scott Solomon, a leading cardiologist at Brigham and Women’s hospital in Boston, led this alarming study. The study concluded that heart attack patients are more likely to die suddenly within the first month after suffering a heart attack. The gape pointed out that there is a crucial need to develop treatment options for these most vulnerable patients.

The study consisted of 14,609 patients; researches followed their progress for two years. Researchers state, “Nineteen percent of all sudden deaths or episodes of cardiac arrest occurred within the first 30 days after myocardial infarction and 83% of all patients who died suddenly did so within the first 30 days after hospital discharge.” A heart attack occurs when there is significant blockage of blood flow and oxygen to the heart. After a heart attack, scar tissue forms that can interfere with the pumping action of the heart muscles. This can cause arrhythmia (exclusive or rapid heartbeat), which can shock the heart and lead to sudden death. This is more likely to happen within the first month after a heart attack. Dr. Solomon states, “we need to contemplate therapies and strategies. . .that could protect patients during this early vulnerable period following a heart attack.”

Dr. Alfred Buxton, a cardiologist at Brown Medical School played no role in the study, but offered some advice in an article. He suggests, “the solution may be identifying the highest risk patients and employing short term therapies that are not invasive.” He explains that there are defibrillators that could succor, but many doctors feel that patients are too vulnerable right after a heart attack for this option. The National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute is currently funding a peer that looks at the effectiveness of automated external defibrillators on recent heart attack patients. That is promising, but does not help patients now.

The encouraging news is that there are many treatment options that are extremely effective in treating heart disease. Pharmaceutical companies provide cholesterol lowering and blood pressure controlling medications that save lives everyday. Pacemakers work by maintaining normal heart rhythm. When surgery is necessary, doctors are beginning to consume less invasive procedures that sever the risk of complications.

Despite these major advancements, heart disease still remains the number one killer among Americans. This study points to the necessity of developing ways to treat patients during that distinguished time period after a heart attack. This is an eye opening study because it shows that people must take responsibility for their health-they must arm themselves with information to fight heart disease. There is an abundance of valuable information to educate people on how to slash their risk.

Once you understand the factors for heart disease, there are steps that can be taken to lower your risk. Watching your diet, quitting smoking, exercising and knowing your risk can literally save your life. You should be aware of your blood pressure and cholesterol levels and communicate with your doctor. If you would like more information about heart disease, log onto to the American Heart Association’s website at http://www.americanheart.org.
